Our broodmares are the backbone of our operation. We have chosen our mares for conformation, disposition, and pedigree. We breed these mares to the best cutting or foundation bred stallions that we can.
Sugar Shorty
Sugar ('94) is by Shorty Lena and out of Quixotes R Sugar(Son of Sugar) She is an NCHA money earner-1998 Region 5 Spring Maturity 4YO OP Finalist. Full sister to Sweet Shorty Lena dam of Spots Hot 2004 NCHA Open Futurity champion. See 2012 foal by Prickory on "2012 Foals" page. She had a great colt by Missin Cash on the 2010 Foals page. Currently has a stud colt by Prickory for 2013.
Lil Badgers Gin(Meg)
Meg ('03) is by Lil Badgers Dos(Peppy San Badger) and out of Ima Royal Gin(Tanquery Gin). Her 2011 colt is a real stallion prospect.(Picture on 2011 foals page) She was open last year but is bred back to Prickory for 2013. Rides out nicely(has 6 months training). Super broodmare. She's had 3 straight stud colts, finally a filly for 2013.
Lizzie Rey Floyd
Lizzie (2000) is by Spooks Jazzman and out of Meerly Floyd. She always has one of the top foals of the group and the 2010 Prickory filly on the 2010 Foals page is no exception. Newest filly is on the 2012 Foals page. Open in 2013. Will be bred back to Prickory for 2014.
Kings Sonata(Spice)
Spice ('01) is by UGAs Blue Prince(Continental King) and out of Sugs Sonata. She is one of the nicest foundation mares anywhere and produces great all around horses. Her five year old colt(pictures page) is standing at stud. Her 6 yr. old palomino filly is also shown below. Left open for 2012; outstanding filly by Prickory in 2011. Nice filly by Prickory for 2013.
Daisy(04)(Ms Tanquery Freckles)
Dox Freckles(Freckles Playboy) x Ima Royal Gin(Tanquery Gin) Had her first foal by Prickory on 3/10/08.(See 2008 Foals page) She is over 15 hds tall and is green broke and kid gentle. Has a super 2011 colt that has the size and bone to excel at any discipline. Newest colt for 2013 is also stout. Check him out on the 2013 foals page.
Ellie(04)(Dox Freckles Sonata)
Dox Freckles(Freckles Playboy) x Sugs Sonata. Had a stud colt by Prickory in 2008. Beautiful filly by Prickory for 2011. Open.
Kitty(04)(You Gotta Be Cattin)
Cattin(Smart Little Lena) x Cupcake Bob Acre(Bob Acre Doc). Just had a nice dun filly by Prickory for 2012. We consider her to be one of our top broodmares and her 2010 Prickory filly is outstanding and going into cutting training. 2011 colt by Prickory is her best one yet and he was sold to a cutting home. Great looking filly by Prickory for 2013, check her out.
Sugar Shorty Lena(05)
The sire of this mare is Chromesmal, a money earning son of Peptoboonsmal. His offspring that have shown have won $18,500 per head over the past couple of years. The dams dam is Sugar Shorty(NCHA money earner) who is a full sister to Sweet Shorty Lena the dam of 2004 NCHA Open Futurity champion Spots Hot. Lena had her first foal, a nice stud colt by Prickory in 2009 & another one in 2011. Seven T Miss Easter(Haley)
 Haley is a granddaughter of Continental King with King still on her papers. Haley's dam is double bred Easter King and Grey Badger II. Foundation breeding at it's best. She's 10 years old. Easy breeder. She has a powerful bay stud colt for 2012. She out produces herself every time. Sonatas Princess('05)
This is a sweet natured foundation bred palomino filly. Her sire is Wachula Gold a son of Dun Commander(NCHA-$40,000+) Her dam is Kings Sonata - see her on the broodmares page. She has been in training and has 6 months of riding. Good handle, could go in any direction. Exposed to Prickory for 2014.
Playboys Little Badge(2007)
Bridgette is by Playboys Badge a money earner and producer in NCHA. He had a finalist in the 2006 NCHA Futurity. The dam is Janita Little Peppy a gd of Little Peppy and Peponita, also 25% Docs Jack Frost. Has a super nice filly by Prickory for 2011. Open.
Spots Hot Sister(2007) -
Chula Dual x Sugar Shorty(Shorty Lena). This is a full sister by blood to Spots Hot the 2004 NCHA Futurity open champion. Exposed to Prickory for 2014.
Janita Peppy Frost(2006)
 This mare is by Lil Peppy CD(CD Olena x Peppy San Badger daughter) out of a Little Peppy, Peponita and Docs Jack Frost bred mare. Open.
Ima Royal Gin
Ginger ('89) is by Tanquery Gin and out of Red Hot Ruby(Captain Joker mare). She had a knockout filly by Prickory in 2009 (see her on the "2009 Foals" page). We have 3 of her daughters that are in the broodmare band. Had a nice solid bay stud colt on Jan. 2, sired by Prickory. Now retired.
